HI Everyone

It has been a while since I have written news on Clare Anderson Talent Agency.

Here are highlights from last year to January 2024.

BOETIE BOER

A big highlight last year was RAVEN SWART being booked on the Showmax doccie series, Boetie Boer. This series told the true life story of Port Elizabeth serial killer, Stephen Wilkins. This killer terroised Port Elizabeth in the 90s killing street kids, prostitues and even his own daughter. Raven found it a challenge getting inside the mind of a killer but he pulled the role off flawlsesly.

Other actors in the agency that were on the show included REINE SCHEEPERS and MAC- KAYLEN JOHNSON.

48 HOURS FILM FEST

In September myself with MARILIZE DU PLESSIS, CHANEL KATZ, RETIEF LOUBSER, LIKHWEZI BILIYA , UNATHI SABISWA, ROSS MARSHALL , ALEX SILBERBAUER, KARLA JOUBERT , AMIR GORDON and BATHINI once again entered the 48 Film Festival and made a film in 48 hours. We did not get any nominations this year (2023) but still had lots of fun on set. We look forward to doing another film this year.

SLAY

Shane John Kruger is a stunt actor / actor in my agency and he booked a lovely role on the vampire slasher film , Slay in December 2023. He had a number of calls and had a great time on set. He is currently doing G20.

COMMERCIALS

A number of actors in the agency booked roles in Commercials last year (2023) with PETER GILCHIRST, JONATHAN KONGO, MAC-KAYLEN JOHNSON , JONATHAN KAMONGA , AMIR GORDON, ABDUL TCHOFERON and TUDOR GRIMBLY getting the most bookings.

WORKSHOPS

Besides bookings and finding work for actors in the agency. i also like to tell my actors about workshops happening that I feel can benefit them. I was trying to hold workshops but there was not much interest. SHELLEY LOTHIAN is a casting director and she very kindly put on a accent workshop for some actors in the agency. It was a very insightful and informative morning and I look forward to doing more workshops with her. We also had an improvisation and another accent workshop last year.

SOCIALS

Socials were not as well atteneded as I had hoped for but I had a lovely picnic in De Waal Park with RETIEF LOUBSER, CERIDWEN MORRIS, SASKIA RIJKE, etc. Socials are a way for me to see the actors and catch up with them as well as a way for the actors in the agency to see each other.

January has been a busy month so far and I look forward to seeing what the rest of the year brings.
