About Clare

Studied Film and Media at UCT and graduated with Honours in 2006.

I worked for various film production companies and documentary filmmakers. Some of my jobs included being a camera assistant, transcriber, and assistant to filmmaker, Robyn Rorke. I helped her with her documentary called, Shamielas house which showed at Encounters Film Festival and other festivals. Worked for Community Health Media Trust on the SABC show, Siyanoba Beat It! I was a camera assistant, logger, production assistant, and so on. I volunteered at the Encounters Film Documentary Film festival for 2 years.

I started working for Samantha Bernhardi as a booker in 2008. I have always enjoyed working closely with the actors and taking a personal interest in them. I assisted Samantha with castings, contracts, bookings, rate negotiations; invoicing, and anything else she needed help with. I built up a very good working relationship with the casting directors and clients and have a passion for helping actors achieve their dreams.

On a side note, I am a qualified dog trainer and behaviourist and enjoy dancing, singing, creative writing (I have written two screenplays), travelling, and photography.
